Supporters of the veterans’ charity Erskine are being encouraged to put their nerves to the test and zip slide their way to raising funds for Scotland’s ex-Service men and women.

On Saturday 26th March the inaugural Erskine Zip Slide will take place at Tynecastle Stadium—home of Erskine’s charity partners Heart of Midlothian FC.

All supporters of Erskine, which runs the Erskine Edinburgh Home in Gilmerton, and the Jambos are encouraged to put their support behind this fantastic challenge event. By taking part not only do you get to zip slide your way across the famous Gorgie pitch, but also raise vital funds for veterans in Scotland.

Facilitators Freespirits Outdoor Activities will oversee the event which will run from 9am until 5pm and Action Scaffolding are supplying the scaffolding.

John Fyfe, East of Scotland fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to be joining forces with our charity partners Heart of Midlothian FC, as well as Freespirits Outdoor Activities and Action Scaffolding, for our inaugural Zip Slide at Tynecastle Stadium. It is the perfect and challenging way to raise vital funds for the veterans in our care here in Edinburgh and beyond. I would encourage supporters of Erskine and Heart of Midlothian FC to put their nerves to the test and sign up for this brilliant fundraising challenge.”

Participants must be aged over 16 years old. Registration costs £20 and participants must commit to raising a minimum of £100.
