Our High Schools Need Help! (photography: Fred Mackintosh)Edinburgh South campaigners Fred Mackintosh and Mike Pringle MSP have asked local resident to add their voice to calls for additional funding to renew James Gillespie's and Boroughmuir High Schools either in an on line petition or by emailing the Scottish Government.

Edinburgh South MSP Mike Pringle said, "The School Councils are working hard behind the scenes looking at different options for their schools if funding is made available. The City Council has even started design work on James Gillespie's High School, but actual building work can't start without funding from the Scottish Government."

Fred and Mike are calling for a renewed effort by local people, parents and guardians of pupils at the schools to convince the Scottish Government to allocate enough of the £1.25 billion fund to James Gillespie's and Boroughmuir High Schools.
