Grant will kick start the proceedings at the hospital as it opens its doors to raise awareness of the specialist care it offers elderly patients and forge stronger community links.
The hospital is inviting people of all ages to enjoy everything from a cake competition, cake and candy stalls, pony rides, face painting, to beauty treatments and the musical stylings of the Glencourse Pipe Band.
The regular Kings Panto Villain said: “I’m delighted to be opening Liberton Hospital Fete on Saturday, the staff have made such an effort to organise the event. They have managed to put together a fun filled day for all the family for a great cause.”

There are also fantastic raffle prizes from just 20p a ticket, with family holiday accommodation to Latvia, weekend breaks, premier league football tickets, golf days and luxury cosmetic vouchers up for grabs.
The event will take place on Saturday 4th September 2010 from 1pm-5pm at Liberton Hospital.
