A park which has been regularly targeted by vandals in recent years is to celebrate its recovery with a community day.
In what has been hailed as a remarkable turnaround for Liberton Park, the family event will take place on Saturday.
Only 18 months ago, fireraisers burned the play equipment there to the ground.
This came only a short time after the pavilion was destroyed in another deliberately started fire.
Furious residents clubbed together and formed the Friends of Liberton Park Group in a move to make the park safe for their children.
Saturday's event, named Donkey Saturday, will include pony rides, Easter egg hunts, football, rounders and a multitude of other activities.
A spokeswoman for the group said: "The purpose of the group is to ensure that the park is used for the community regardless of their age.
"Although the vandalism caused extensive damage, a positive response has been generated with the formation of the friends group and the local community taking an interest.
"It will be a fun day for families in the area."
