Police are hunting three men who stole a five figure sum of cash from a pensioner's home in Edinburgh, after he left his door unlocked while outside gardening.

The man was in the garden of his flat in Gracemount Avenue at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon when he saw three men enter the building's stairwell. They left a short time later, but the pensioner became suspicious and returned to his unlocked property, where he found that his savings had been stolen.
