The key focus of the South
Central Partnership will be addressing issues that affect our local
quality of life. These include dealing with local problems and issues,
planning the future of your neighbourhood, and ensuring you?re able to
shape and influence local decisions.
The Partnership will identify programmes of activity in response to the needs of the area and these will be set out in the local community plans which will then become the Partnership?s agenda for action. The South Central Neighbourhood Partnership is able to make recommendations and provide guidance and direction to the Council and partner organisations. It will also take on decisions relating to environment, open space and traffic management; be responsible for local consultation; award small community grants for local projects, and be able to inform the development of city strategies, making sure they reflect local needs and priorities.
