Children enjoyed stories about trees told by Mary and Gillian. Bulbs were planted and there were lots of nature craft activities on offer, along with a leaf hunt challenge.
The BBC provided the tree - which is now 'planted' inside Goodtrees - as well as a tree activity pack and seed hunt bags.
Breathing Places, the BBC scheme, is an organisation devoted to encouraging the public to become more in touch with the environment.
They wish for all of us to have fun with nature whilst at the same time appreciating just what it can give us in return. To find out more about the scheme you can visit their website www.bbc.co.uk/breathingplaces [5] and register yourself. Who knows, you may be having tree-mendous fun in our area in the very near future!
