UK Biobank Public Meeting: Ethics of Science

Are you interested in the ethics of science? Join us for a presentation and discussion of the ethical ssues surrounding research databases. Meeting 18.00 –19.30, drinks and nibbles 19.30 – 20.30 UK Biobank was launched in 2007 and is a long-term project to build a major resource of data and samples to help understand and improve public health. The project will involve 500 000 individuals aged 40 – 69. The Ethics and Governance Council was created as an independent body to advise on the ethics surrounding UK Biobank. This event is an opportunity for the public to hear more about the project and to discuss its work and impact. This meeting is a free event and open to all members of the public.
