The Volunteer Centre Edinburgh are currently recruiting young Peer Educators (aged 16-25). This opportunity will give young people the chance to gain invaluable experience. This includes presenting to Community Groups and Schools, project management, marketing and lots more!

The Old Town Festival 2008 Monday 16th - Sunday 29th June The Festival programme is led by the Scottish Storytelling Centre and includes a wide range of events for all ages – from storytelling performances, family activities, lectures, tours and talks, through to music, poetry, visual arts and book events – which celebrate the unique heritage, culture, community and stories of Edinburgh’s Old Town.

The board of Gracemount Youth and Community Centre, reportedly ousted by council chiefs keen to assume responsibility for the running of the centre, maintains it will this month retain control over services for young people in the area.

Edinburgh Community Newspaper Trust has seen council funding cut by 85% for 2008/09. ECNT publishes five titles – namely The South Edinburgh Echo, West Edinburgh Times, North Edinburgh News, Gorgie Dalry Gazette and The Chronicle – that are read by 175,000 people citywide.
