Scottish Opera brought The Barber of Seville to Gilmerton recently, giving 16 people from the area the opportunity to take in an opera workshop.

May I take this opportunity to thank families from the area for supporting a child through the Glasgow Children’s Holiday Scheme, by being hosts for a week during the school summer holidays last year and to wish them all a Happy New Year.

Inspector Steven Paul, who has been based at Howdenhall for some years now, has moved to pastures new. Taking the reigns is Glenn Milne, the new Sector Inspector for the Howdenhall area.
